Leeds are reportedly interested in Swansea ace.

Leeds United are reportedly baulking at Swansea City’s £5 million valuation of winger Daniel James.

Teamtalk report Swansea’s valuation has put Leeds off, with figures of £3 million previously floated in the media.

Leeds are looking for a winger to add further pace to their attack, and decrease reliance on young prospect Jack Clarke.

The Whites are already looking at an alternative, with Bristol City’s Callum O’Dowda one possibility.

It appears as though Leeds are trying to recruit from within the division, which will certainly make it easier for a player to make a more instant impact.

Eagle eyed Leeds fans noticed a folder with James’ name on it during manager Marcelo Bielsa’s presentation on Wednesday evening.

The speedy winger has three assists in the Championship this season.

£5 million would make him Leeds’ second highest priced signing in more than a decade, behind only Patrick Bamford, so it’s clear why the Whites are hesitating over the move.
