Glasgow Rangers could be about to let Declan John leave Ibrox on loan for the coming season.

John only signed for Rangers last summer. After a successful loan spell, his switch was turned into a permanent deal and his form meant that the Light Blues managed to cope quite well while Lee Wallace was on the sidelines with a long-term injury.
Steven Gerrard’s move for Jon Flanagan initially had many fearing that James Tavernier may be on his way out of the club, but it has so far been John who has seen his opportunities limited by the former Liverpool ace’s arrival. And now, a report from The Scottish Sun has suggested that he could be on the move.

Before the summer started, losing John would have been an idea that most Rangers fans would have preferred not to consider. He appeared to be a safe name on the teamsheet after an encouraging first year.
It remains to be seen whether Barisic will prove to be a successful signing for the Gers – if his move does go through as expected – but losing John on loan now appears to make a lot of sense for all concerned as it seems that he is unlikely to get much game-time at Ibrox as things stand.
