With Newcastle United failing to secure Tammy Abraham’s signing before he headed off on international duty, Swansea City are reportedly now interested.

Tammy Abraham’s short-term future remains uncertain, with Swansea City now joining the race for his loan signature – according to the Northern Echo.
The report also reaffirms long-standing interest from Brighton and Hove Albion and Newcastle United, who The Times had claimed were close to announcing the Chelsea forward’s signing last week.

But Abraham has now departed for the U21 European Championships with England and suggested any decision on where he will play next season will be delayed until after the tournament.
“I haven’t spoken with Chelsea yet,” he was quoted by Sky Sports. “I am focusing on this tournament, so the discussions will happen after.
“I’m not too sure [what will happen]. Hopefully it will be in the Premier League.”

Abraham scored 26 goals in all competitions for Bristol City last term, but Chelsea now want their exciting attacking prospect to try his hand in the Premier League.
He will face tough competition for game time at any of the alleged suitors, though, with Swansea’s Fernando Llorente (15 goals), Brighton’s Glenn Murray (23) and Newcastle’s Dwight Gayle (23) all faring well in front of goal last season.
A move to Newcastle, where Rafa Benitez will not settle solely for survival, still looks the best bet for Abraham, who relies on good service to find the net.
The U21 Euros get under way on Friday with Abraham and England in action against Sweden in the opening game.
