The Swansea City winger came close to joining Leeds United in January.

Swansea City are struggling to agree a new contract with the January Leeds United target, Daniel James, according to BBC Sport.
The broadcaster claims James’ representatives are keen to insert a buyout clause into any renewal, with a £4 million figure mentioned.
However, it adds that Swansea feel that is an unrealistic amount for a player they came close to selling Leeds for considerably more money on deadline day, before changing their mind with a deal ready to be signed off.
As it stands, James, who is since said to have attracted the interest of Premier League clubs Manchester City (Sun), Southampton and Bournemouth (both Mail) after scoring on his first Wales start last month, will enter the final year of his existing contract this summer.

And there is a growing feeling that he will join a Premier League club in the coming transfer window, regardless of the outcome of ongoing negotiations, according to BBC Sport.
Should that prove to be the case, then Leeds have done their chances little harm by returning to second in the Championship at the weekend.
