Jake Bidwell is expected to join Swansea City after leaving Championship rivals Queens Park Rangers.

Swansea City are set to sign former Queens Park Rangers left-back Jake Bidwell on a free transfer according to Wales Online, with the defender undergoing a medical with the South Wales outfit on Tuesday.
It has been another turbulent summer for The Swans, who have lost manager Graham Potter to Brighton and star man Daniel James to Manchester United. Speculation is rife, too, surrounding the future of 24-goal top scorer Oli McBurnie.
But Swansea fans should be feeling a bit better about things today with Wales Online reporting that they are closing in on a potentially inspired deal to sign 26-year-old Bidwell without spending a penny.
The former Everton youngster is set to become Steve Cooper’s first signing at the Liberty Stadium, so long as he passes all of the required medical examinations. And he will be a ready-made replacement for Sweden international Martin Olsson, who is now a free agent.

QPR caused something of a shock when they let Bidwell leave Loftus Road in the summer, particularly as he started 40 games in the Championship last season while producing four assists from the left-hand side.
And if Bidwell shines in Swansea colours, QPR fans will be cursing another transfer mishap from the London-based strugglers.
