Wolverhampton Wanderers have seemingly tried to add yet another defender to their ranks with a bid for Swansea City’s Stephen Kingsley.
According to a report from The Telegraph, Wolves have seen a bid for Swansea City defender Stephen Kingsley rejected by the Premier League side.
Kingsley has struggled to hold down a place in the Swans side since arriving from Falkirk in 2014, spending much of his time out on loan, and spending much of last season behind the likes of Neil Taylor and Martin Olsson in the pecking order.

His 13 top flight appearances last term did make it his best season since arriving at the Liberty Stadium when it came to league games – but it appears that Wolves thought they would still try and see if he was available.
According to the Telegraph, the Championship side did bid for the 23-year-old – who made his Scotland debut back in June 2016 – but saw that offer swiftly turned down by Swansea.
Though The Telegraph do not specify what kind of offer Wolves put in or whether they may be scope for further negotiations to take place, it is perhaps a surprise that Nuno Espirito Santo appears to be keen on the full-back.
Wolves have already bolstered their defensive ranks significantly during this window, adding players right across the back four, so missing out on Kingsley – if there ultimately proves to be no further discussions between the two clubs – may perhaps not be the biggest blow for the Molineux side.
