Sunderland and Everton have also been linked with the Senegalese defender.
Tottenham’s Harry Kane in action with Anderlecht’s Kara Mbodji
Senegalese defender Kara Mbodji is certainly a wanted man in the Premier League this summer, with Swansea City the latest team to be linked with his signature.
The Daily Mail are reporting that Swansea are keen on the player but have less than a day to complete the deal at the cut-price fee of £6.25 million due to a clause in his current contract with Belgian side Anderlecht.
Anderlecht’s Kara Mbodji
They are said to be considering Mbodji as a potential replacement for Ashley Williams – who has been linked with Everton.
Interestingly, Everton are one of the other Premier League teams to have been linked with Mbodji this summer.
Wales’ Ashley Williams
The Daily Mail reported that the defender had emerged as a cheap alternative to his international team-mate Kalidou Koulibaly after Napoli told the Toffees they wanted £40 million for the player.
It does however now seem that Everton are far more interested in snapping up Williams from Swansea.
Sunderland manager David Moyes poses
Sunderland have also been linked this week, with The Sun suggesting that David Moyes was keen on the player.
But if anyone wants to snap him up at a bargain £6.25 million they will need to get a move on.
