Swansea City are in “pole position” to sign PSV Eindhoven right-back Santiago Arias, the Mirror reports [5 June, page 64].

It is claimed that Everton, West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur are also keen on Arias, who is rated at £12 million.

However, Swansea are said to have already held talks, with the player reportedly keen on a move to South Wales.

Swansea have long been credited with an interest in Arias, who has 32 caps for Colombia’s national team.

However, Paul Clement’s side aren’t the only ones looking for a new right-back this summer.

West Ham, though, have already concluded a deal for Manchester City’s Pablo Zabaleta, while Everton are expected to sign Southampton’s Cuco Martina, who is also available for nothing.

Tottenham are currently well-stocked in Arias’ position, however, they are likely to enter the market if Manchester City-linked Kyle Walker is sold.

By that time, though, Arias could already be a Swansea City player.

Should Everton/West Ham/Tottenham Hotspur move for Arias before it’s too late?
