Swansea City are reportedly giving up hope of signing Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi.
According to the Daily Mail, Swansea City expect Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi to join West Ham United on loan for the rest of the season.
Batshuayi, 23, hit 23 goals in 50 games for Marseille last season, and his goalscoring exploits in French football led to a big-money move to Chelsea over the summer.

So far though, the Belgian has had to serve as backup to Chelsea’s star striker Diego Costa, and he’s yet to even start a Premier League game for the Blues.
Batshuayi has hit four goals in all competitions this season though, and suggestions are that he could now go out on loan in order to play first-team football until the end of the season.

One suggested move has been for Batshuayi to join Premier League rivals Swansea City in exchange for Fernando Llorente, who played under Chelsea boss Antonio Conte at Juventus.
However, the Daily Mail now report that Swansea officials are losing hope in their pursuit of Batshuayi, as they believe the striker will join Premier League rivals West Ham United in a similar loan deal.
The Hammers are in desperate need of a new striker given that summer signings Jonathan Calleri and Simone Zaza have struggled to make an impact at the London Stadium, and Batshuayi would certainly help Slaven Bilic’s side in front of goal.
Batshuayi is believed to prefer a move to East London, as Swansea are in a relegation battle, joining the Hammers would allow him to stay in the capital, and former Marseille team-mates Dimitri Payet and Andre Ayew are already at the club, giving West Ham a number of advantages in the race to land Batshuayi on loan this month.
