Everton are potentially preparing a new bid for Swansea City’s Gylfi Sigurdsson.
According to the Daily Mail, Swansea City are expecting Everton to make a new bid for playmaker Gylfi Sigurdsson this week, believed to be worth around £45million.
Everton have splashed the cash so far this summer, adding Jordan Pickford, Cuco Martina, Michael Keane, Davy Klaassen, Sandro Ramirez and Wayne Rooney to their first team squad this summer.

However, manager Ronald Koeman still appears keen on adding another creative player to his squad this summer, with Swansea City’s Gylfi Sigurdsson believed to be his top target right now.
Sky Sports reported earlier this month that Everton had failed with a huge £40million bid to sign Sigurdsson – but they appear to be returning with a new and improved offer ahead of the new Premier League season.
The Daily Mail report that Swansea are expecting Everton to come back with a club-record £45million offer for Sigurdsson this week, with the Iceland international keen to resolve his future and push for a move to Merseyside.
The 27-year-old playmaker, who re-joined Swansea from Tottenham Hotspur back in the summer of 2014, has proven himself as one of the Premier League’s top playmakers during his time at the Liberty Stadium, with 34 goals in 121 games.

Last season, Sigurdsson recorded nine goals and 13 assists in the Premier League, serving as Swansea’s leading light in their successful battle against relegation, and he would be a huge loss to Paul Clement’s side.
However, £45million for a player who turns 28 in September may just be too good for Swansea to turn down, especially as it’s noted that Clement wants to bring in Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere, West Brom’s Nacer Chadli and Las Palmas playmaker Jonathan Viera.
