Prolific Red Star Belgrade striker Richmond Boakye adds extra intrigue to Arsenal’s trip to Serbia with both Chelsea and Swansea set to send scouts.

Arsenal will not be the only Premier League team in attendance at the Red Star Stadium in Belgrade on Thursday night. The Gunners travel to Serbia to take on Red Star in a crucial Europa League clash but the hosts’ star man means there are a number of English rivals holding a vested interest in the game.
Boakye, who has been one of the most prolific centre-forwards in Europe in 2017 with 31 goals for club and country, was playing for Juventus’ reserve side during Conte’s successful spell in charge of the Serie A giants.

Boakye has been watched by Everton in the past and, the report adds, is also on the radar of Celtic and Watford. Red Star also may be coerced into doing business in January if their £10 million price-tag is met.

And if Boakye improves on a record of 12 goals in 18 games in 2017/18 on Thursday evening, Swansea will have a decision to make in the mid-season transfer window.
Tammy Abraham scored twice in the 2-0 win against Huddersfield Town at the weekend but is only on loan for Chelsea. Boakye, however, could be a long-term solution for a side whose attacking power was hugely impacted in the summer by the sales of Fernando Llorente and Gylfi Sigurdsson.
