Nacer Chadli has slipped through Swansea City’s net on a number of occasions but could finally be on his way to the Liberty Stadium from West Brom.

Nacer Chadli’s long-awaited move to Swansea City could finally come to fruition in the New Year, according to Bleacher Report.
The BBC claimed in late August that the Belgian international was keen to swap West Brom for the Liberty Stadium after allegedly falling out with Baggies boss Tony Pulis during the club’s pre-season tour.
Wales Online, however, claimed on transfer deadline day that West Brom would not budge from their obscene asking price of £28 million – £10 million more than Swansea were prepared to pay for a player they had been in discussions with since the start of the summer.

As such, Swansea turned their attention to signing a new striker instead, eventually bringing Wilfried Bony back to South Wales as a replacement for Fernando Llorente.
Though it appears that Chadli may still be offered an escape route from West Brom in the January transfer window. Bleacher Report claim that Swansea will revisit their interest in two months’ time and expect to finally bring in a player they tried to sign during his previous spells at Tottenham and FC Twente.
Chadli has worked his way back into Pulis’ plans at The Hawthorns after an injury-hit start to the season, scoring a sublime free-kick in the recent 1-1 draw with Leicester City.

The 28-year-old, however, has perhaps not being used to his full potential under Pulis’ famously pragmatic tactics and could prove a far better fit for a more free-flowing Swansea side.
The expected signing is more than likely to smash the club’s current transfer record, set when Swansea paid £15.5 million for Atletico Madrid striker Borja Baston in 2016, per Wales Online.
