Swansea City and West Bromwich Albion are both said keen on Barnsley right-back Andy Yiadom.
Swansea City have started to negotiate Andy Yiadom’s transfer from Barnsley as they attempt to head off interest from West Bromwich Albion, the Mirror reports on its Transfer News Live blog.
Barnsley are said to have been asking £3 million for the right-back, who is out of contract at the end of the campaign.
But the report claims the Championship side are now willing to drop their asking price in a bid to avoid losing Yiadom for nothing in six months’ time.
Swansea have also been credited with interest in Tottenham Hotspur’s Kyle Walker-Peters [The Sun] as they seek reinforcements in the Ghanaian’s position.
But West Brom are also said have also scouted Yiadom, who saw a summer move to Huddersfield Town collapse amid injury concerns.
Swansea already employ specialist right-backs Kyle Naughton and Angel Rangel, however, with Allan Nyom and Craig Dawson vying for the same role at West Brom.
