According to the Daily Star, Swansea City will slap a £30million asking price on star playmaker Gylfi Sigurdsson ahead of the summer transfer window.
Sigurdsson, 27, has been one of the Premier League’s top midfielders ever since re-joining the Swans from Tottenham in 2014, racking up 18 goals and 13 assists in the previous two seasons.
After impressing for Iceland at Euro 2016, Sigurdsson has once again starred in the Premier League, notching eight goals and 11 assists in 28 appearances, serving as Swansea’s leading light in their battle against relegation.
Whether Swansea stay up or not, Sigurdsson is bound to attract major interest at the end of the season, with two clubs already being heavily linked with the club.
The Daily Star report that Everton and West Ham United both want to sign Sigurdsson this summer, but Swansea will attempt to fend them off by slapping a £30million price tag on the playmaker.
Not only that, but Swans manager Paul Clement would allegedly want a replacement signed before sanctioning any summer deal to sell Sigurdsson – and finding anybody to fill his shoes could be a difficult task.

At 27, Sigurdsson is in his prime, and is well worth the £30million given his heroics for Swansea this in recent years, but that valuation would give Everton and West Ham plenty to think about.
Everton may not need another playmaker if Ross Barkley – who just just over a year left on his contract – stays at the club, whilst West Ham could move for Sigurdsson as the true top-class replacement for Dimitri Payet, despite Robert Snodgrass arrival, especially if Slaven Bilic’s men want a marquee summer signing.
