Swansea City and Crystal Palace are ready to offer Andre Schurrle a Premier League return, according to the Sunday Mirror [page 67].

The Germany forward had a brief spell with Chelsea earlier this decade and now plays for Borussia Dortmund, via Wolfsburg.

The Sunday Mirror reports that Schurrle was left frustrated after Dortmund blocked his exit in January, amid an injury crisis at the Westfalenstadion.

However, it adds that the door is still open for him to move if Swansea and Palace can retain their top flight status.

Carlos Carvalhal’s side look the most likely of the two to survive, sitting four places and as many points above third-from-bottom Crystal Palace.

However, the chance to return to the London area, where he previously spent 18 months, could hold greater appeal to Schurrle, should the Eagles escape the bottom three.

The 27-year-old said recently: “I need to be playing for the sake of my career. It’s important for my progression at my age”.

Would Schurrle be a good signing for Swansea City / Crystal Palace?
