Sunderland attacking midfielder Wahbi Khazri will wait until after the World Cup to make a decision on his future, according to The Northern Echo.

According to The Northern Echo, the Black Cats value the Tunisia international attacking midfielder at £5m.

The same publication has reported that Khazri, who is claimed to be on radar of Marseille, Lyon and Nice, is open to signing for Rennes on a permanent deal, but wants to wait until the after 2018 World Cup finals in Russia this summer to decide.

Good plan

Khazri will feature for Tunisia in the World Cup in Russia this summer, and the attacking midfielder could well get good offers after the competition is over.

It would make sense for the former Bordeaux star to wait until the after World Cup to decide his future.

The 27-year-old attacking midfielder has been on the books of Sunderland since January 2016 when he joined from Bordeaux for a transfer fee reported by The Chronicle to be worth £9 million.
