The Mackems could also miss out on Ryan Mason with the Tottenham Hotspur man set for Hull.

Sunderland’s move for Vicente Iborra is apparently off, while Tottenham Hotspur’s Ryan Mason looks set for Hull City in a double blow for the Black Cats.
Sky Sports reported on Tuesday morning that Sevilla have changed their minds about selling Iborra, having agreed a £7.7 million fee at the weekend.
Vicente Iborra
The imposing midfielder is claimed to have agreed terms over a move to Wearside, although the deal was said to hinge on Sevilla’s ability to land a replacement.
The Northern Echo previously reported that Sunderland had also agreed a fee with Spurs for Mason, with a medical scheduled for Tuesday.

However, according to Sky Sports the England midfielder is close to becoming a Hull City player instead.
If true, Sunderland boss David Moyes now has less than 36 hours to strengthen in the centre of the park, having lost Rubin Kazan loanee Yann M’Mila and allowed Liam Bridcutt to leave for Leeds United.

The Mackems have endured a disappointing start to the new season, picking up a solitary point from their opening three fixtures.
