Talbot has only played for Sunderland at under-21 level.

Sunderland goalkeeper James Talbot is being eyed by Shamrock Rovers ahead of contract expiring this summer, according to the Irish Sun.
The Dublin-born 20-year-old is yet to make a senior appearance for Sunderland, and the report claims he is set to part company with the League One bound Black Cats.
Talbot is reportedly wanted by Shamrock – one of the player’s hometown teams – as an upgrade on Tomer Chencinski and Kevin Horgan, the pair of whom it is claimed have failed to convince this season.

A move to the Tallaght Stadium would see Talbot return to Ireland for the first time since his departure from Home Farm to Sunderland five years ago.
The Irish Under-19 international – who has some senior experience with Darlington, and Sunderland’s Under-21s in the EFL Trophy – may not be the only goalkeeper leaving Sunderland this summer, with Lee Camp also out of contract.
The Mackems also have Jason Steele, Robbin Ruiter and Max Stryjek as options in Talbot’s position.
