Sunderland are struggling to bring in sufficient new faces this summer.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, some of Sunderland’s young prospects could be left frustrated in their hopes of moving out on loan as manager David Moyes does not yet have sufficient cover to sanction any temporary exits.
The Black Cats look set to be busy on transfer deadline day, but such is their squad depth right now that some of the club’s next generation may be needed in the months ahead.

That has left the likes of Tommy Robson – who is reportedly wanted by Championship side Barnsley – waiting to see where he will be playing come September.
Sunderland manager David Moyes knows he needs to significantly strengthen in key areas as he bids to guide the side up the table and ensure their relegation battles are a thing of the past.
But if he does not bring in enough new faces he could be left to rely on Sunderland’s younger players in the cup competitions and at times during the Premier League campaign.
