Sunderland are reportedly interested in securing the services of Torino goalkeeper Daniele Padelli.

According to reports from Tuttosport (via Football Italia), Premier League club Sunderland are keen on securing the services of Torino’s Daniele Padelli.
Sunderland have made a shaky start to their Premier League campaign so far and the Black Cats’ cause has not been helped by the fact that a host of their key players are picking up long term injuries.
The latest Sunderland star to suffer an injury setback was goalkeeper Vito Mannone after the Italian tore his elbow ligaments, ruling him out for at least three months (BBC).

The injury to Mannone means that young Jordan Pickford remains the only fit first-team goalkeeper available for Sunderland and it is clear that manager David Moyes will need to bring a new custodian to the Stadium of Light before the end of the summer transfer window in a couple of days’ time.
Manchester City outcast Joe Hart was being linked with a transfer to Sunderland recently but it looks like the England international is set to make a move to the Italian Serie A by joining Torino (Sky Sports).
The impending arrival of Hart to Turin means that current Torino number one Daniele Padelli could find himself relegated to second choice and as a result the 30-year-old has been touted to leave the club in the next 48 hours.

Interestingly, it has now been claimed by Tuttosport that Sunderland have identified Padelli as a target after missing out on Hart. The report adds that Padelli is not too keen on staying at Torino as a substitute and is currently open to leaving the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino.
Padelli spent a brief loan spell at Premier League club Liverpool back in 2007 and the experienced goalkeeper could well prove to be a decent signing for Sunderland.
