Aston Villa striker Ross McCormack is reportedly wanted by Sunderland on loan in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that Sunderland, who will play in League One next season after getting relegated from the Championship, want to sign McCormack on loan from Villa this summer.
The Villans are reportedly keen on selling the former Leeds United and Rangers striker this summer.
According to The Daily Mail, Sunderland failed to agree terms on a loan deal to bring McCormack from Villa in the January transfer window.
Good signing for Sunderland?
McCormack has failed to make an impact at Villa, and it would make sense for the Championship club to offload him in the summer transfer window.
While it is hard to see Sunderland muster up enough cash to tempt Villa into a permanent deal, the Black Cats would benefit from having the 31-year-old Scotland international striker in their team for the 2018-19 campaign in which they will be aiming to win automatic promotion back to the Championship.
