Sunderland reportedly want to sign Jack Baldwin from Peterborough United in the summer transfer window.

Sunderland will pay Peterborough United a transfer fee of £200,000 for Baldwin, according to Sky Sports (Transfer Live blog, 10:43am, Friday, July 27, 2018).
It has been claimed that Sunderland have agreed a fee of £200,000 with League One rivals Baldwin, who will reportedly have a medical with the Black Cats today.
Good signing for Sunderland?
Baldwin, who can also operate as a midfielder, is one of the best defenders in League One, and the 25-year-old would be a good signing for Sunderland in their quest to win promotion to the Championship, especially for a reported transfer fee of £200,000.
Sunderland need players who know League One well and who has been successful in the division, and the 25-year-old fits the criteria.

Busy summer for Sunderland
Sunderland have been quite busy in the summer transfer window and have made a number of signings so far.
Among the players the Black Cats have signed so far this summer are Chris Maguire, Dylan McGeouch and Glenn Loovens.
