Sunderland are reportedly targeting a deal for Manchester City’s Lukas Nmecha.

According to the Daily Mail, Sunderland are chasing a loan deal for Manchester City attacker Lukas Nmecha as Chris Coleman desperately chases a new striker.
The Black Cats lost 4-0 at Cardiff City on Saturday afternoon, leaving them bottom of the Championship table as Coleman starts to realise the magnitude of his task at the Stadium of Light.
The threat of a second successive relegation is lingering over Sunderland, and it’s imperative that Coleman finds at least one striker this month given his depleted numbers in attack.

After losing Lewis Grabban back to parent club Bournemouth, Sunderland have now sold James Vaughan to Wigan, Coleman is left with youngsters Joel Asoro and Josh Maja as his attacking options.
Now, the Daily Mail report that Sunderland are interested in snapping up Manchester City striker Lukas Nmecha on loan for the rest of the season, again highlighting the budget restrictions Coleman faces.
Nmecha, 19, was born in Germany but started his career with City back in 2007 having moved to England as a child, and has made his way up through the City ranks over the past 10 years.

An England Under-19 international, Nmecha possesses impressive pace but can also lead the line on his own, and he has notched eight goals in seven Premier League 2 games this season.
Last week, Nmecha signed a new three-year contract to stay with City, but he could now head to Sunderland to continue his development under Coleman for the rest of the season.
