According to a report in the Sunderland Echo, Sunderland would have to sell Didier Ndong to finance a deal for Ryan Woods of Brentford.

Woods is said to be valued at £6 million by Brentford, which is currently outside of Sunderland’s transfer budget.

The Black Cats currently only have the money available to bring in loans and free transfers, with fringe players needing to be offloaded to raise funds.
