Sunderland are set to sell Jeremain Lens in the summer transfer window.
According to a report in the Northern Echo, Sunderland have been offered Tolgay Arslan by Besiktas.
Besiktas are keen to sign Jeremain Lens from Sunderland, but cannot afford the pay Sunderland’s asking price.
The Black Cats are looking to recoup around £13 million for the attacker, who they only signed back in 2015.
Lens has been out on loan at Fenerbahce this season, where he has impressed with his performances.
The skilful winger has been out of the standout players in Turkey, and Besiktas are now keen to bring him in on a permanent deal.
However, Besiktas are only willing to offer a part-exchange deal, which puts the transfer in doubt.
Sunderland are said to have no interest in receiving players from Besiktas, as they would prefer a cash fee.
Even if Besiktas are priced out of the deal, Sunderland are said to have written Lens’ chances of making a success of his time at the Stadium of Light off, and the Dutchman will leave in the summer.
