Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly taken a look at Sunderland’s Josh Maja.

Tottenham have taken note of Maja’s excellent form this season, with the Sunderland forward banging in 12 goals in 19 games for the Black Cats.
The 19-year-old looks to be one of the brightest prospects in the lower leagues, with Spurs’ scouts reporting back in glowing terms about him to Mauricio Pochettino.
And Sunderland are now said to be open to doing a deal with any Premier League club, as they have put a £1.5 million price-tag on him.
Maja’s contract at Sunderland has just months left on it, and there is a realisation that this is their last chance to receive any money for him.

Tottenham have shown a willingness to buy from the lower leagues in recent times, and may hope that Maja could have a similar impact as Dele Alli at higher levels.
If Maja does leave Sunderland it would be a blow to Jack Ross’ side’s promotion hopes, with the Black Cats currently in third place in the League One table.
