It looks as though Sunderland are set to lose midfielder Martin Smith, according to reports from the Sunderland Echo.
The 20-year-old midfielder is all set to move north of the border to join up with former Sunderland player Lee Clark’s Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership.
The midfield talent was reportedly told in April that he would not be offered a new deal at the Stadium of Light this summer and Clark swooped to bring him to his current club in wake of that news.

Smith is therefore expected to be on Sunderland’s official released list that is to be announced this afternoon with a three-year deal said to be waiting for him at Rugby Park.
He will join fellow Englishman Miles Addison, Kallum Higginbotham, Darryl Westlake, Tope Odabeyi and Conrad Balotoni at the club.
Smith never made the grade at Sunderland and had time out on loan at Carlisle United and FC Gateshead last term – making minimal impact at both clubs.
Now he will be hoping that, under the tutelage of Clark, he can become a hit at Kilmarnock.
