Sunderland are keen to sign Newcastle United target Daryl Horgan and Andy Boyle from Dundalk in January.

According to a report in the Telegraph, Sunderland are leading the race to sign Daryl Horgan from Dundalk.
Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Birmingham City are just some of the clubs who are reportedly interested in signing Hordan (Telegraph).
However, it is Sunderland who are believed to be at the front of the queue for the winger’s signature.
Sunderland have been tracking Horgan for a considerable length of time, and they believe he would enhance the quality of their attack.

The 24-year-old has scored 10 goals for Dundalk this season, and has impressed on the Europa League stage.
Sunderland believe he could be available for a bargain fee, with David Moyes keen to bring the forward to the Stadium of Light.
Sunderland are also thought to be keen on signing Horgan’s Dundalk teammate Andy Boyle.
Boyle and Horgan were both called into the Republic of Ireland national team over the international break, and Sunderland are monitoring the pair’s progress closely, with a double deal reportedly possible in January.
