Sunderland are also reportedly keen on the Norwich City man, but Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers seem to be closing in on him.
The Daily Mail (12:26 on the outlet’s transfer feed) has reported that Sunderland have registered an interest in signing Norwich City midfielder Graham Dorrans, but he is closing in on a move to Rangers.
Sunderland appointed Simon Grayson as manager this week and the former Preston North End boss is already linked to a number of players.
The 30-year-old Norwich man is seemingly on his radar but it might be too late for the Black Cats as the Daily Mail reports that the Canaries and Rangers are close to finally agreeing a deal of £1.5 million, plus add-ons.

Glasgow-born Dorrans has been the subject of intense interest from the Ibrox club, who have already seen two bids knocked back by the Championship outfit.
But it would appear as Dorrans, who managed six goals for the Carrow Road side last season, is finally closing in on his move to the Gers.
Rangers have already been very busy this summer and manager Pedro Caixinha has welcomed eight new faces – Bruno Alves, Ryan Jack, Dalcio, Fabio Cardoso, Daniel Canedias, Eduardo Herrera, Carlos Pena and Alfredo Morelos – to the club so far.
Ex-Aberdeen midfielder Jack is the only Scottish import, however, and the addition of Dorrans would help.
When it matters next season, Caixinha will need players who know what Rangers is all about, and Dorrans, a boyhood fan of the club, can certainly help out the new recruits in that regard.
