Heart of Midlothian forward Kyle Lafferty is reportedly wanted by Sunderland in the January transfer window.

It has been reported that if Sunderland come up with a suitable transfer fee, then Hearts will find it hard to reject it.
Hearts signed Lafferty in the summer of 2017 on a free transfer after the forward left Norwich City in the Championship in England at the end of the 2016-17 season.

Sunderland are struggling survival in the Championship in England and are in danger of getting relegated to League One at the end of the season.
Lafferty has established himself as an important player for Hearts and is playing well for the Scottish Premiership club at the moment.

While one can understand the temptation to return to the Championship in England, perhaps the Northern Ireland international should remain at Hearts for the rest of the season at least.
After all, it would not be a good move for the former Rangers forward if he finds himself playing in League One next season.
