Sunderland are interested in a January move for Norwich City’s Robbie Brady and Southampton forward Shane Long, according to a report in The Telegraph.

The summer transfer window was a difficult period for Sunderland, who saw key player Younes Kaboul leave the club as they struggled to bring players to the Stadium of Light.
With the January window just over two months away, plans are already underway at the Stadium of Light as to who Moyes wants to bring to the club as they look to retain their Premier League status.
As reported in The Telegraph, Moyes is looking at Republic of Ireland pair Brady and Long as two players he would like to see in the red-and-white of Sunderland.
Brady was linked with a move away from Carrow Road in the summer when the Canaries slipped into the Championship, but remained at Norwich as they look to manoeuvre a route back to the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Southampton forward Long would be a great signing for Sunderland, who currently rely on Jermain Defoe to score their goals.
The 29-year-old would help take the pressure off of Defoe, but there is no indication that he would leave the South Coast club, who have enjoyed a bright start to the season, although Long is yet to find the net.
