Crystal Palace’s Connor Wickham is reportedly on the radar of Sunderland and Middlesbrough.

It has been reported that Sunderland have enquired about the 25-year-old, who can operate as a striker or as a winger.
The League One club, though, are facing competition for Wickham from Championship side Middlesbrough, according to the report.
Back to Sunderland
Wickham joined Sunderland from Ipswich Town in 2011 and was on the books of the Black Cats until the summer of 2015 when Palace signed him for an initial transfer fee of £7 million, as reported by BBC Sport.

The attacker has had injury issues in recent years and is not guaranteed a place in the Palace staring lineup.
The former England Under-21 international is a good player, and perhaps the familiarity of Sunderland could bring out the best from him.
Promotion push
Sunderland are going strong in League One at the moment and are among the favourites to win automatic promotion to the Championship.
A player of Wickham’s quality and experience will aid in Sunderland’s challenge.
