Mannone will be out of action for at least three months after suffering torn elbow ligaments, as announced on Sunderland’s official website.

The Black Cats have made a disappointing start to the 2016-17 Premier League campaign.

Sunderland have picked up just one point from three league matches so far this season and are a relegation candidate.

Norwich are playing in the Championship at the moment after getting relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.

The Canaries are one of the favourites to get promoted to the Premier League at the end of the season.
