Report: Sunderland in talks to sign Premier League striker on loan

Sunderland boss Jack Ross is reportedly looking to bring in another striker this summer.

According to a report in the Sunderland Echo, Sunderland are in talks with a Premier League side over signing a striker.

Sunderland have already brought in Jerome Sinclair from Watford on loan, but they are eager to add a new number nine.

Sunderland have had an interest in a number of goalscorers throughout the summer so far, but have failed to get a deal over the line.

The Black Cats have seen Mo Eisa sign from Bristol City over them, Charlie Wyke looks set to stay at Bradford City and Billy Sharp is proving a complicated target to get hold of.

Sunderland are now looking at alternatives, and are reportedly aiming to use the loan market.

Jack Ross is said to be in talks for an unnamed Premier League youngster, as Sunderland aim to bring in a striker before their season starts next weekend with a match against Charlton Athletic.
