According to El Diez, Sunderland are eyeing a somewhat ambitious move to sign Honduran talent Iverson Sacaza.

Sacaza, 17, currently lives in Spain and plays at the Ciudad de Getafe Football School, an academy that has strong ties to Real Madrid.

Sacaza has become a wanted man having emerged there, and has even been on trial with Spanish giants Valencia in recent times.

Anderlecht and Sunderland are though to be looking to land Sacaza now, with his Spanish passport key to any hopes of a move.

Agent Juan Pablo has suggested that a move to Honduras with Vida isn’t on the cards, and the current goal is to join a European team.

Voetbal Belgie have noted that Iverson has been described as ‘the new Lukaku’, which should be very appealing to Anderlecht given that they helped developed the actual Romelu Lukaku.

Few would blame Sunderland fans for having flashbacks to Milton Nunez, the Honduran striker who joined Sunderland from PAOK way back in 2000.

Nunez famously only made one league appearance for Sunderland, and fans would hope for better if a deal for Sacaza does come off.
