Sunderland have been after Grigg for much of the window.

The Guardian have claimed in their live transfer blog (Thursday, 10:25pm) that League One promotion contenders Sunderland have finally had a bid accepted for Wigan Athletic striker Will Grigg – at the sixth attempt.
Sunderland have been after the Northern Ireland international for the majority of the January transfer window, as he struggles for game time at the DW Stadium.
The 27-year-old is a prolific source of goals in League One, with 96 in 260 third-tier appearances throughout his career. He was key in Wigan’s promotion back into the Championship.
Sunderland, meanwhile, are desperate for a goalscorer after Jerome Sinclair left the club following a disappointing loan spell and Josh Maja completed a £3.5million move to Ligue 1 side Bordeaux.

The Sunderland Echo claimed earlier on deadline day that Championship side Wigan wanted as much as £3million for the ex-MK Dons and Walsall striker, though it remains to be seen the amount Sunderland are willing to pay.
The Black Cats have already brought in a striker on deadline day, in the form of a loan move for Tottenham Hotspur youngster Kazaiah Sterling.
