Sunderland will halve the wages of a number of their players, should the club be relegated from the Premier League this season, after inserting a clause in several contracts when they signed for the outfit, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper reports that David Moyes is under pressure after a poor start to the season, as the Black Cats are still searching for their first victory in the league this campaign after failing to do so in their opening eight fixtures.

The Daily Mail also claim that Moyes is ready to have a ‘mini clear-out’ once the transfer window re-opens in January to free up extra funds to sign new players with, as he looks to avoid relegation for the first time in his managerial career.
