According to the Sunderland Echo, Sunderland want around 15 new players to arrive this summer.

Sunderland are looking to completely re-shape their squad in the upcoming transfer window, as they build for a promotion push in League One.

The Black Cats need to sell many of their top earners, to ensure they comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.

And Sunderland are eyeing up a sizeable amount of additions, as they look to improve their squad.

New Sunderland owner Stewart Donald has already stated that the Black Cats have a big budget to spend, and with 15 new players set to arrive, it could be a very busy summer.

Sunderland go into the new campaign as one of the favourites for promotion, but there is still a great deal of uncertainty around the club.

Sunderland still don’t have a manager in place, and their big recruitment drive is not likely to start until they have a new man at the helm.
