Sunderland are keen to bring Bournemouth forward Max Gradel to the Stadium of Light.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Sunderland plan to step up their pursuit of Bournemouth forward Max Gradel over the next 24 hours.
The Mail reports that the Black Cats have made an enquiry regarding the 29-year-old’s availability as Simon Grayson looks to build a squad capable of getting out of the Championship at the first attempt.

And with the Cherries adding Jermain Defoe to their ranks during this window, it appears that Gradel could well be on his way out of the Vitality Stadium should an interested side meet Bournemouth’s demands.
While it is unclear what the Cherries want from a deal, the Mail suggests that Sunderland hope to accelerate their pursuit of the Ivory Coast international in the very near future – seemingly highlighting the importance that Grayson is placing on getting the striker through the door at the Stadium of Light.
Although Gradel has endured a difficult time since arriving at Bournemouth, Grayson knows all too well how influential the forward can be in the second tier, having managed him at Leeds.
Gradel helped the side to promotion out of the third tier, and subsequently enjoyed a fantastic Championship campaign with the Whites, scoring 18 times in the league, and subsequently earning a move to Ligue 1.
And Grayson will be hoping that if he can get his man as soon as possible, Gradel will be able to rediscover that form to help Sunderland put themselves in the promotion race.
