Sunderland could sign the Everton duo today, according to a report.

The Northern Echo has reported that Sunderland could finalise their moves for Everton duo Ty Browning and Aiden McGeady today.

The pair have been strongly linked with a switch to Sunderland over the past week or so.

And The Northern Echo claims that new Black Cats boss Simon Grayson could rubberstamp a deal for both at some point today.

However, the Everton pair will not be in action for tonight’s friendly at Bury.

The Chronicle reported earlier this week that Browning, 23, will pen a season-long loan deal at the Stadium of Light, while 31-year-old McGeady is expected to sign permanently.

If and when both deals go through, it will mean that Sunderland have signed three players from Everton this summer, having already signed Brendan Galloway on loan.

McGeady and Browning impressed under Grayson at Preston North End last season, and fans of the Wearside club should be excited about seeing them in the Championship next term.

At 31, McGeady is bound to have lost a bit of pace from his early years, but still has more than enough magic to help Sunderland.
