According to French newspaper L’Equipe, Lorient midfielder Didier Ndong is on the verge of a €20m (£17m) move to join Sunderland before tomorrow’s transfer deadline.
The Black Cats desperately need new faces before the transfer window closes, and manager David Moyes looks set to snap up another midfielder.

With no return in sight for loanee Yann M’Vila, it’s key that Moyes strengthens his engine room, and French newspaper L’Equipe report that Lorient star Didier Ndong is closing in on a move to the Stadium of Light.
The report states that Ndong has left Gabon’s international training camp in order to travel to England, where he will put the finishing touches to his move.

Lorient are expected to receive a huge fee of €20m (£17m) for Ndong, just over 18 months after he signed a four-and-a-half year contract with the Ligue 1 side.
The 22-year-old midfielder had been playing in Tunisia with CS Sfaxien before heading to Lorient in January 2015, and he started 34 games last season, notching two goald one assist in the top flight of French football.

Now, Ndong – who has 18 caps for Gabon, who he plays alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – is edging closer to joining Sunderland, where he will surely replace M’Vila in the Black Cats’ midfield.
A former club team-mate of Sunderland star Lamine Kone, Ndong will be looking to have a similar level of success in the North East, whilst the Black Cats would certainly be banking on him to make a huge impact given the £17m fee.
