The Reading midfielder looks set to become summer signing number seven at Sunderland.

Sunderland and Reading are close to agreeing a fee for George Evans, according to Sky Sports (liveblog entry 17:17).
However, the broadcaster claims two clubs’ valuations of the midfielder continue to differ slightly, with Reading looking for just shy of £1 million.
That figure is considerably higher than the £250,000 quoted by the Northern Echo earlier on Monday, but could still represent good business for Sunderland.
Evans was a key member of the Reading side that reached the Championship play-off final 14 months ago, and remains highly-rated by the Royals’ faithful despite featuring more infrequently last term.
The 23-year-old is out of contract in Berkshire next summer, which should have reduced Reading’s asking price if anything.

Should his move to Sunderland go ahead, Evans is likely to take Paddy McNair’s place in central midfield.
The Northern Ireland international was sold told Middlesbrough for around £5 million earlier in the window.
Who should be Sunderland’s next transfer target after Evans?
