Sunderland are looking to have a mass clear out this summer.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Sunderland are looking to sell Jeremain Lens, Emanuele Giaccherini, Jordi Gomez, Liam Bridcutt, Will Buckley, Adam Matthews and Santiago Vergini this summer.
Sam Allardyce is planning a clear out at the Stadium of Light, as he looks to make room for new arrivals.
Allardyce has already publicly outlined his intentions to improve Sunderland’s squad, as he looks to take them away from the bottom end of the Premier League table.

The Black Cats have been perennial relegation strugglers in recent times, and Allardyce wants their top flight status to be far more secure next term.
Sunderland have already been linked with a whole host of players, but to bring new talent in, the Wearsiders realise they need to sell some of the players on the fringes of their squad.
As a result, Lens, Giaccherini, Gomez, Bridcutt, Buckley, Matthews and Vergini are all up for sale, with Sunderland hoping to sell them soon.

Giaccherini, Bridcutt and Matthews have all already attracted interest, and could be the first three players out the door at the Stadium of Light.
