Sunderland have made the joint-worst start in Premier League history
A report in the Daily Mirror has claimed that David Moyes may be left desperately fighting for his future if Sunderland fail to beat Bournemouth in the Premier League this weekend.
The Black Cats are currently bottom of the table and already eight points adrift of safety as the wait for their first league victory of the campaign continues.

And it appears that the Sunderland board may run out of patience if that run is not ended at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday as the Mirror reports that they will be left seriously considering Moyes’ future if the team fails to come back with the three points.
The Mirror reports that the board are looking at the international break as a good opportunity to potentially make a change as they desperately try and turn the side’s fortunes around.

If the former Manchester United boss is relieved of his duties after the game against the Cherries – for which, Moyes will serve a touchline ban – it will be the fifth season in a row that the Sunderland hierarchy have changed manager midway through the campaign in an attempt to secure survival.
And while it has paid off in previous years, their current situation is perhaps as desperate as it ever has been during that period.

The Mirror hints that Moyes is pointing the finger of blame at the some of the current squad, most notably, Lee Cattermole. The Mirror claims that the boss has been disappointed with the lack of leadership shown by the 28-year-old this season.
But it appears that he will need the midfielder to be at his very best at the weekend as, if reports prove to be correct, his job could depend on a good result.
