The young defender trained with Tottenham Hotspur this week, but could be off to Norwich City, Nottingham Forest, Brentford or Sunderland this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Maxwell Statham is interesting Norwich City, Nottingham Forest, Brentford and Sunderland as he approaches the end of his contract, according to the Daily Mirror (March 1, page 66).
The newspaper claims Tottenham are yet to offer a new deal to Statham, who trained with Mauricio Pochettino’s first team this week.
And Nottingham Forest, Brentford and Sunderland are all said to be watching developments – although it is Norwich who reportedly lead the chase for his signature.
The central defender – who recently trialled with the Championship leaders, according to Football.London – is the son of former Tottenham and Brentford right-back, Brian Statham.

The younger Statham was born in Southend but is a product of Tottenham’s youth system.
He has been a regular in Spurs’ Under-18 side this season and will be 19 in September.
