Leeds United goalkeeper Andy Lonergan has become a target for Sunderland.

Lonergan has emerged as Chris Coleman’s top goalkeeping target, with the Black Cats known to be looking for a new stopper.
Lonergan is said to want more game time, as he has been demoted to second choice at Leeds.

However, Leeds do not want to loan him out – and Sunderland don’t have the budget to make permanent additions.
Leeds will only consider offloading the 34-year-old, if they can get a fee for him, as they regard him as a solid back-up option.
Sunderland now require either Lamine Kone or Didier Ndong to depart, if they are to get a deal for Lonergan over the line.

Kone and Ndong have been made available for transfer this month, but interest in the pair has been limited so far.
Leeds, meanwhile, are said to be willing to move for Adam Bogdan, if Sunderland can somehow find a way to get a deal for Lonergan over the line.
