Glasgow Rangers are keen to bring Chris Cadden to Ibrox, but face competition from Sunderland.
According to a report in the Chronicle, Sunderland are tracking Motherwell midfielder Chris Cadden ahead of the January transfer window, but Glasgow Rangers are also interested.
Cadden has caught the eye with his performances in Scotland, and is playing a key role in Motherwell’s first-team despite only being 20-years-old.
The youngster has netted three times so far this term, and Sunderland have had scouts watching his progress.
The Black Cats could make an offer in January, but the Chronicle suggest that Cadden is attracting a number of admiring glances.
Rangers are also said to be in pursuit of the talented midfielder, while a host of Championship clubs are credited with an interest.
Rangers currently have an ageing squad, and Mark Warburton would like to add some younger players to his squad at Ibrox.
Sunderland, meanwhile, would likely look at Cadden as one for the future – rather than a player to throw straight into their first-team, while they are fighting a relegation battle in the Premier League.
