Sunderland and Derby County are interested in signing Joe Bryan from Bristol City in the summer transfer window, according to The Mirror’s Transfer news LIVE page (15:18).

It has been reported that the City left-back, who is 23 years of age and has been at the club his entire professional club career so far, will cost around £2.5 million.

Bryan has had a good season in the Championship and has earned a strong reputation, and it does not come as a surprise that big English clubs are (reportedly) looking at him.

Both Sunderland Derby will be aiming to finish in the top six of the Championship next season, and leaving City for either the Black Cats or the Rams would be a step up for the 23-year-old.

City avoided relegation from the Championship this season, and one suspects that the Robins will be involved in the battle to escape the drop to League One at the end of the 2017-18 campaign.
