Sunderland have a deal in place to sign last season’s loan star Yann M’Vila on a full-time basis from January, according to Sky Sports.

However, the Mackems are said to want M’Vila immediately, which the report claims could cost them £7 million.

Despite this, it appears M’Vila is set for a move to England regardless, having reportedly posted a photo to his Instagram story along with the caption: “Hello London!”

Sunderland are in for a busy afternoon it seems, with a new goalkeeper, midfielder, striker – and even a new defender – being sought by manager David Moyes.

According to the Daily Mail, the Wearside club have seen a bid turned down for Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy, but are having better luck with striking teammate Steven Naismith, who looks set to reunite with his former Everton manager at the Stadium of Light.

A move for Lorient midfielder Didier N’Dong could be on the cards (L’Equipe), while Saint-Etienne centre-back Florentin Pogba is also a target according to the Sun.

However, according to Sky Sports, one player Sunderland will not be signing is Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez.
