The former Sheffield United loan star Dean Henderson could be made available for another temporary transfer by Manchester United in January, according to ESPN.
Henderson played a key role in Sheffield United’s promotion to, and subsequent survival in the Premier League.
But he returned to his parent club at the end of last season, despite interest from Bramall Lane – as confirmed by the Blades manager Chris Wilder.
Henderson, though, has started just three of Manchester United’s games in all competitions since then.
And while ESPN claims the 23-year-old is ‘content with his role for now’, it adds he has been told by the England manager Gareth Southgate that he needs to play more regularly to have a chance of being number one at next summer’s European Championship.
Where Henderson might end up if a loan move is sanctioned remains to be seen for now.
But given Sheffield United’s inability to keep a clean sheet this season, it is possible that he could attract interest from Bramall Lane.

The Blades are reported to have paid Bournemouth around £18 million for Aaron Ramsdale as Henderson’s replacement.
But Ramsdale’s recent form has been called into question by some.
